Administrative Assistant - Sales

At the Tom James Company, an Assistant supports our sales team members, store leaders, and key organizational leaders in fulfilling our mission to be a global leader in the fashion industry. An Assistant is a valued member of the Tom James sales support team. We currently have a part-time opening in our Eden Prairie, MN office. Our Sales Assistant position reports directly to the Store Leader and requires approximately 20 hours per week. Work schedule is flexible. Hourly pay is $20.50+ per hour and is based upon experience. On day one, the Sales Assistant will begin participating in our sales assistant monthly bonus plan. Bonuses are based upon the Store Leader's overall sales and/or new business.
\n Job ResponsibilitiesPreparing for daily client visitsPrepping clothing to be deliveredLocating necessary client information (A/R balances, sales sheet)Updating sales materials regarding fabrics/optionsCoordinating and maintaining all client orders/filesCommunicating with clients:Setting up appointmentsProviding status of ordersScheduling deliveriesSending remindersSupporting the sales efforts of the sales professional by:Communicating regularly with the sales professional and other members of the store teamMeeting with the sales professional to set goalsManaging daily calendarOrganizing inventoryPursuing efficiencies for processes and communicationPicking up and delivering client items as neededProspecting new clients using internet and social media applications Entering referrals into proprietary systemSending introductory and promotional messagesCreating call lists/hot listsDelivering exceptional customer service when contacting factories, corporate office, clients and outside vendorsMaintaining a professional image to interface with corporate clients A successful candidate fits the following criteria:Confident, independent workerStrong communication skills (verbal, written, listening)Excellent organizational skillsOutstanding time management skillsProfessional customer service skillsSocial Media savvy (especially on LinkedIn & Instagram)Proficient using multiple forms of technology including Microsoft Office; Google Docs, Sheets, FormsPossesses basic accounting skills (such as balancing accounts)Enjoys being flexible and multitaskingMotivated to tackle challengesYearns to work in a fast-paced team environmentAble to bend and lift up to 20 lbs.Valid Driver's License requires (Exception: larger metropolitan areas)Two years office-related experience is preferred.Experience with a sales-oriented environment is a plus!
