Job Description Promote the daily functions of the District Attorney's Office's mission to ensure that justice is done in a fair effective and efficient manner.
Position Information: Starting Salary: $20.20 an hour / $39,390.00 annually
Classification: Administrative Specialist I
Position Code : DA3022
5-Factor Grade: 105
Work Hours: This position will work and be paid for 75 hours in a 2 week pay period
Current county employees will follow the county's promotion/demotion policy.
Responsibilities: Docket and track Commonwealth and Defense state and federal direct appeals, post-conviction appeals, and summary appeals. Draft, proof, reproduce, and file briefs and motions with Superior, Commonwealth and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and Middle District, 3rd Circuit and Supreme Courts of the United States. Provide all administrative support with regard to the Grand Jury. Provide administrative support to the Chief of Appeals, to all trial attorneys, and to the law clerks. Promote the efficiency within the office consistent with office goals. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Must have a high school degree.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Must have experience working in a law firm and/or court system. Must have experience with Windows, Microsoft software, and Microsoft Excel. Must have good typing skills.
