This position provides support to the nursing department, specifically around nursing training as it relates to compliance with the Nurse Staffing Plan. Knowledge and skills performed by this position may include, but are not limited to, ability to coordinate work activities and schedules, ability to gather and organize data and prepare narrative and statistical reports, completion of tasks within established time frames, ability to communicate orally with a variety of people at all levels, maintain confidentiality, skills in typing, and utilization of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, with ability to learn other software programs. This position participates in the coordination and accomplishment of goals and objectives consistent with legislative intent, Nursing Executive and Oregon State Hospital Executive directives, standards. of the Joint Commission, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other licensure and regulatory bodies. This recruitment will be used to fill, 1 full-time position located in Salem, OR (29398 Recovery Way) and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. This position is represented by Service Employees International Union (SEIU). Shift - Day shift working Monday - Friday. May have to work other hours on occasion, no weekends or holidays. This position is 100% in person. This position is based in Salem; but some traveling may be required. Minimum Qualifications: Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data OR An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Desired Attributes: Experience using computers, entering and retrieving information, creating, and maintaining spreadsheets, and knowledge of using an electronic scheduling system. Experience performing a variety of administrative tasks requiring decision-making within established laws, rules, policies, procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreements. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions. Effect communication on a regular basis in person and on the phone.
