Position Overview: Are you an organized and proactive individual with a knack for supporting teams in a dynamic environment?
We're looking for an Administrative Assistant to be the backbone of our Bolingbrook Facility, primarily supporting our Manufacturing Department.
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations, from labor entry and shipping transactions to coordinating events and managing schedules.
You'll report directly to our Vice President/General Manager, making your contributions vital to our success!


Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Support: Manage daily labor entry, work order closure, and shipping transactions using our QAD Crane Nuclear ERP System.


Administrative Excellence: Handle mail distribution, correspondence, and phone calls.
Organize business meetings, luncheons, and special events, ensuring every detail is perfect.


Supply Chain assistance: Purchase essential supplies for the Bolingbrook Facility, including office, cleaning, shipping, and marketing materials.


Executive Support: Maintain calendars and schedules for the VP/GM, preparing materials and handouts for important meetings.


Travel Coordination: Arrange travel itineraries and manage logistics for the Bolingbrook team.


Community Engagement: Lead initiatives for the Crane Widows and Children Fund, partnering with the CN Executive Assistant.


Cross-Departmental Support: Assist HR, Sales, Engineering, and Marketing teams as needed, fostering collaboration across the organization.


Qualifications & Experience: Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in a professional administrative support role, ideally for a senior leader.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a warm and professional demeanor.
Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in event coordination, purchasing, and ideally, some manufacturing exposure.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Proven follow-through skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
