What to expect.
You will oversee the placement of patients in our hospital psychiatric units at our Towson Campus and Baltimore/Washington Campus.
Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer and Chiefs of Medical Staff, you will play a key role in optimizing patient flow and ensuring the effective use of available beds.
You will act as the communication liaison between hospital unit leadership and the admission department, including coordination with bed managers, screening providers, and access coordinators.
Specific responsibilities include:
Collaborating with bed managers to assign patients to available beds.
Working with screening providers to prioritize, escalate, and update pending cases.
Triaging complex patient cases from the Care Connect Center.
Coordinating care needs with central staffing, unit managers, and access team.
Reviewing unit acuity levels using data from the acuity tool, including heightened acuity units.
Providing education, training, and consultation that meet the needs of staff and patients.
Serving on process improvement teams as appointed.

What we need from you.
Must have one of the following combinations of education and credentialing:
Bachelor's degree and Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Registered Nurse (RN) Master's degree in nursing and Nurse Practitioner (NP) Must have at least three years of psychiatric experience, with at least two years preferred in an inpatient psychiatric environment.
Computer skills competency with electronic health records and Microsoft 365.
Knowledge of IDX and Altera Sunrise is preferred.
