Company Name: Osseo Job Description Job Opportunity: Student Management Specialist We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Student Management Specialist. In this role, you will actively work towards building and maintaining positive relationships between students, teachers, and parents. Your main focus will be to support student growth and improvement in behavior through individualized interventions. Additionally, you will play a key role in planning and implementing school-wide systems, structures, and discipline. Responsibilities: Support the principal in managing the overall administration of the middle school program Act as a resource for teachers and staff, providing assistance in addressing student attendance, development, and disciplinary concerns Coordinate efforts with guidance counselors, police liaison officers, school psychologists, and social workers to meet with students and parents and discuss strategies for improving student attendance and behavior Engage in conferences or communication with families to address student attendance and behavior concerns Resolve student behavior issues in a fair and timely manner, documenting disciplinary actions taken Maintain close monitoring of the school premises to identify and address student vandalism Assist in interpreting school district programs related to student substance abuse and truancy Recommend necessary revisions of policies and rules impacting student behavior Participate in discussions on strategies to improve student performance, attendance, and development Contribute to the development and implementation of campus control and security practices Maintain active relationships with parents, families, and students Help establish rules for students sent to the in-school suspension/detention room Handle written and oral communication regarding student development and disciplinary matters Participate in committees and meetings as directed by the principal Assume responsibility when all administrators are absent from the building Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned within the scope of the position Qualifications : Educational requirement: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position can be found in the Management Personnel I-M agreement.
