Responsible for independent clinical practice, providing individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy with children, youths, and their parents; crisis counseling to maltreated children and youth or those exposed to domestic violence or maltreated children and youth, and provides trauma-specific therapeutic services to children exposed to domestic violence and their non-offending parent survivor of domestic violence, and youth with problematic sexual behaviors and adolescents with histories of sexual offending behavior, as part of the multidisciplinary child protection team.
Provides evaluation and assessment of children/adolescents mental health needs including psychiatric diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
Provides referrals for services as indicated.
Provides collaborative consultation to the attending psychologist regarding the child/adolescent functioning and progress.

Qualifications: Minimum Education
Master's Degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling (PhD or PsyD) or a related field (Required)

Must be able to assess the mental health status of the child, growth and development issues of the child, identify criteria for clinical judgment or decision making to protect the child, strengthen the family, and reduce impact of abusive behavior.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to diagnose and treat families who have experienced interfamilial violence and trauma.
