Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited school/college of nursing OR master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by a national certifying body approved by the Illinois Department of Regulation APRN Board Minimum of two (2) years of APP experience Bilingual with Spanish, strongly preferred Responsibilities: Monitor patients and order tests and procedures in the outpatient setting Manage a wide range of health problems through clinical expertise Ensure positive health outcomes for assigned patient population Perform health assessments and physical examinations Provide direct clinical care, including prescription and ordering of medications and therapies Evaluate patients' need for further healthcare Document care and education provided in medical records Refer patients to other disciplines when necessary Integrate research-based knowledge in decision making Advocate for patients, families, coworkers, and the community Maintain licensure and certifications through continuing education Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives Provide comprehensive teaching strategies for patients and their families Develop and participate in continuing education programs for staff Benefits: Promote work-life balance no on calls, nights, or weekends!
