The Advancement Communications and Social Media Coordinator will be part of a dynamic team tasked with helping the Advancement division achieve their business objectives through multi-channel communications strategies.
In partnership with the Director of Advancement Communications and in-line with College brand and style guidelines, the Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing content creation for the Advancement website and social media accounts, as well as email marketing and solicitation campaigns.
Manage and coordinate content updates within Advancement and in collaboration with MarCom, reply to messages/comments for all Alumni social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram) with the goal of increasing usage, engagement, and interactivity.
(35%) Manage the Division's communication plan (i.e.
C-vent, myEmma) (30%) Work in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Advancement and Marketing Communications on stories, blog posts, digital platforms, and updates for Division emails and Newsletters.
(15%) Recruit, train, and manage Social Media Ambassador volunteers and other communications volunteers as needed (10%) Work in conjunction with the Office of Engagement to create a successful strategy for the Alumni LinkedIn account and the efforts undertaken in support of Alumni Career Networking/ LCDI (10%) Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.A.
or B.S.)
from a regionally accredited college and 2-4 years of related work experience in communications, online marketing, advertising, and/or public relations, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.•1-2 years of online marketing or social media experience•Demonstrated ability to create and update websites using a content management system•Experience analyzing metrics from website and social media platforms•Exceptional written communication skills (must provide writing samples)•Ability to edit photos and videos for use in multi-channel communicationsPreferred Qualifications: Preference given to candidates with experience is institutions similar to Wheaton College.
