Ivy Tech Columbus is looking for an individual to join our team as the Advantage Shelby Scholarship Program Director based out of our Shelbyville location. The Advantage Shelby County (ASC) Scholarship Program Director is the chief administrator of the scholarship program and will manage the program in accordance with Ivy Tech guidelines and policies, and the approved MOU agreements with Shelby County & the City of Shelbyville. The director will implement and direct, monitor, evaluate and report out on all components of the program.
Program Management and Evaluation: Continue to develop and improve the Advantage Scholarship Program by identifying and implementing best practices of all program facets from community promotion, recruitment, retention and graduation, and community service.Gather and analyze feedback from stakeholders, including students and partners, to inform program enhancements.Monitor program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Leadership and Supervision: Collaborate cross-functionally with Ivy Tech, ASC Advisory Board, local high schools and community partners to integrate direction, feedback and best practices into the program.Oversee the ASC Scholarship Coordinator and conduct regular meetings and mentor the Coordinator to review progress, address challenges, and set priorities that align with program goals.Provide Ivy Tech leadership insight into the Shelbyville site including but not limited to course offerings (based on advising data), student life opportunities, and other opportunities for student engagement and success. Student Recruitment and Enrollment: Collaborate with the campus admission team and the high school partners to recruit students for the cohort.Assist local marketing and communication department in the creation of program recruitment documents (i.e., application, promotional materials, mail merges, etc., when appropriate).Attend and participate in area recruitment events such as presentations and college fairs.Support recruits through the application and enrollment process.Organize and execute candidate interviews as needed. Student Advising and Support: Manage all day-to-day requirements of advising and supporting students, ensuring their academic and personal needs are met.Maintain regular communication with students to provide personalized guidance on academic planning and career goals, to address student concerns and challenges, and to facilitate connections with appropriate resources and support, including financial aid, IvyCares, mental health services, etc. Reporting and Communication: Compile, analyze, and prepare reports for all relevant entities, including stakeholders, College leadership, and external partners.Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of reports, providing clear and comprehensive information on program performance, progress, and outcomes.Maintain up-to-date records and documentation to support reporting activities. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Hiring Range: $48,347 - $56,863 annually based on experience and education.
Work Hours: Typical business work hours, may be adjusted during peak times and evenings as needed for events. Benefits: Full-time, benefits eligible position with no enrollment waiting period. Exceptional benefit offerings, including:

For more information on Ivy Tech Benefits visit https://careers.ivytech.edu/benefits Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with three (3) to five (5) years experience in a related field such as social work, psychology, human resources, or student affairs.Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all program stakeholders including but not limited to students, Ivy Tech Community College, the ASC Advisory Board and community partners.
