About the company: Hydrosonics is a startup focused on creating a decarbonized future accessible to everyone. We are developing proprietary electrolyzer architectures that will power the nascent hydrogen economy. We're seeking an Advisor to join our team and contribute to our cutting-edge research and development efforts. Objective: The Advisor will provide strategic guidance and technical advice on the design, manufacturing, and deployment of electrolyzers. The candidate will leverage their extensive experience in electrolyzer production and mass deployment to help the company overcome technical and operational challenges, related to production and large-scale installations. They will ensure that designs can be manufactured efficiently and deployed at scale, while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency.
\n Scope of Work:Advise, review and provide feedback on electrolyzer designs to ensure scalability and efficiency.Recommend improvements to increase the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of production and deployment.Review experimentation and provide insight into how lab results may translate into real world results. Offer insights into the manufacturing process for electrolyzers, focusing on cost reduction and operational efficiency.Identify potential manufacturing partners or technologies that could support scalable production.Provide recommendations for streamlining production processes and mitigating bottlenecks.Advise on the challenges of deploying electrolyzers in mass installations, particularly at solar farms, oil fields, and other large-scale sites.Develop a deployment framework that addresses logistical, environmental, and technical challenges.Provide input on best practices for large-scale deployment projects, including infrastructure considerations.Offer guidance on regulatory compliance for deploying electrolyzers at scale.Ensure that all advisory activities remain free of conflicts of interest with the Advisor's other professional commitments. Deliverables:Regularly attend meetings to discuss advisory reports with actionable insights on design, manufacturing, and deployment strategies.Review of technical documents and design plans.Recommendations for improving scalability and cost-efficiency in electrolyzer production and deployment. Qualifications:Advanced degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.Extensive experience in electrolyzer production and deployment.Deep understanding of hydrogen production technologies.Proven track record in advising or leading manufacturing and deployment of hydrogen-related technologies. Term:The initial term of this advisory role is for 6 months, with the potential for extension based on mutual agreement. Time Commitment:The Advisor will provide consulting services on an as-needed basis, with an estimated time commitment of 15–20 hours per month.
