We are seeking seasoned professionals to join our Advisory Board and guide our organization in scaling its VIP security and government contracting services.
Advisory Board Members will offer strategic insights, leverage their networks to build strategic partnerships, and advise on high-level decisions related to business expansion, security operations, regulatory compliance, and media engagement.
In exchange for their time and expertise, Board Members will receive either an equity stake or a stipend/retainer—exact terms to be determined based on level of involvement and organization bylaws.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Guidance Provide high-level advice on operational strategy, market expansion, and organizational structure.
Critically evaluate business plans, budgets, and proposals, ensuring alignment with short- and long-term goals.
Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to help the organization maintain a leading edge.
Relationship Building & Government Contracts Utilize existing relationships in government agencies, private enterprises, or international organizations to secure high-value contracts and strategic partnerships.
Offer insights into navigating government procurement processes and compliance frameworks.
Facilitate introductions to decision-makers in relevant fields (Department of Defense, law enforcement, international consulates, etc.
).
Security, Clearance, & Regulatory Expertise Advise on best practices for physical, cyber, and anti-drone security measures.
Provide guidance on maintaining or obtaining relevant security clearances (if applicable) and ensuring strict adherence to government regulations.
Evaluate potential vulnerabilities and advise on protective measures, training programs, and incident response strategies.
Political & Geopolitical Insight Offer perspectives on geopolitical risk, media relations, and potential political ramifications of business decisions.
Support the organization in crisis management or public relations matters, especially involving high-profile VIPs, political figures, or sensitive operations.
Ensure the company's strategic direction is culturally and politically sensitive in international markets.
Business Development & Growth Recommend new markets or verticals (e.g., cannabis, medical, government, entertainment) where the organization can expand its reach.
Review and critique partnership or merger/acquisition proposals, ensuring they align with core competencies and target markets.
Mentor executive leadership, helping to refine pitch decks, presentations, and marketing strategies.
Meetings & Time Commitment Participate in regularly scheduled Advisory Board meetings (frequency determined by bylaws—commonly quarterly or biannually).
Provide availability for ad-hoc consultation via phone or email to address urgent queries or decisions.
Attend select industry events, conferences, or client meetings if needed to represent or advocate for the organization.
RequirementsQualifications & Desired Attributes
Security & Defense Background Senior experience in high-level security, whether from military, intelligence, law enforcement, or private defense contracting.
Demonstrated familiarity with government contracts, procurement protocols, and RFP/RFQ processes.
Business Acumen & Successful Track Record Previous success in scaling businesses or launching strategic initiatives in highly regulated industries.
Established leadership experience at the executive or board level (CEO, COO, CSO, or similar).
Proficiency in financial, operational, and organizational management, ensuring the company's sustainable growth.
Existing Connections & Clearance Active or prior security clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret, etc.)
strongly preferred for direct involvement with government projects.
Strong network among government agencies, defense contractors, VIP circles, and/or relevant international bodies.
Ability to leverage high-level relationships for business development and strategic alliances.
Political & Geopolitical Acumen Experience in navigating political environments—domestic or international—with a keen sense of protocol and media tact.
Proven track record in managing geopolitical risks or cross-border operations.
Comfortable guiding public relations strategies during sensitive or high-profile engagements.
Media Savvy Understanding of crisis communication, brand reputation, and how to interact effectively with press or other media channels.
Ability to counsel on public statements and general communication strategies, especially for high-profile clients or incidents.
Personal Characteristics Integrity & Ethical Approach: Upholds confidentiality and ethical standards when handling sensitive data and relationships.
Collaborative Mindset: Works well with the executive team, other Board members, and external stakeholders.
Visionary: Capable of spotting emerging threats, industry shifts, or legislative changes that could impact the organization.
Time & Equity (or Financial) Commitment
Equity Contribution: Some Advisory Board Members may be required to invest a negotiated amount of capital in return for equity shares OR accept an equity stake in lieu of a traditional consulting fee.
Time Commitment:Attend quarterly or biannual Board meetings.
Be available for consultations on an as-needed basis, particularly regarding government contracts, VIP relationships, or urgent strategic matters.
Additional Compensation (Optional):A fixed stipend or retainer per meeting or per year, depending on the organizational bylaws and the level of commitment.
Reimbursement for travel and lodging for Board-related activities, subject to company policy.
