MISCOwater is the leading Manufacturers' Representative of process equipment for Water, Wastewater, & Industrial treatment in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada , New Mexico, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. We specialize in providing reliable, proven, innovative and life cycle cost-effective solutions for municipal wastewater treatment and municipal water treatment. We represent over 50 companies that provide quality process equipment.
As an Aftermarket Sales Specialist, you will take ownership of the entire sales cycle and be focused on developing new business within an assigned territory as well as retaining and developing business with existing customers. You will help our customers realize their equipment needs with appropriate process treatment product solutions. This role requires you to meet and be comfortable conversing with plant level personnel, consultants, and contractors. Plant level or direct sales activities require in-person consultation, demonstration, and problem-solving skills.
\n What you will do:Prospect, develop and close business with new and existing customers.Meet or exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts.Regularly travel to perform customer consultations to determine needs and solutions and obtain detailed information for estimates and proposals.Maintain involvement on turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other related customer projects to meet deadlines.Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the water and wastewater industry and product lines represented by the company.Utilize QuickBase (CRM) for all prospecting and customer activities.Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work.Work with the customers to ensure the equipment meets the system requirements.Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary.Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands.Help customers solve problems with product usage.Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective. Experience/ Background:2+ years' experience within the municipal water/wastewater industry is preferred. Experience includes working with or at treatment plants.Experience with sales of engineered process equipment preferred.Comfortable traveling primarily in Central and Northern California with occasional overnight stays required. Infrequent out of State travel for training and sales meetings with manufacturers.BS in Engineering or operator certification in either water or wastewater or equivalent work experience.Strong professional communication and presentation skills.Ability to thrive in a results-based environment.Effective closer.Mechanical/ technical aptitude.Previous experience using CRM software, we use QuickBase.Valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Compensation:$70,000-$85,000 base + uncapped commissionMonthly auto allowance
