Nissan is looking for a superstar AI hardware accelerator research engineer , both aspiring and well-established, for immediate assignment to the Nissan Advanced Technology Center – Silicon Valley (NATC-SV).

Job Responsibilities
As an

AI hardware accelerator engineer/researcher, you will:
Collaborate with a team of world-leading experts in the fields of AI and robotics to realize advanced technology concepts.
Build brand new protypes and proofs-of-concept, working across all stages of ideation, target setting, architecture design, agile development, integration, and validation.
Uncover opportunities for improving the performance through parameter optimization, re-configuration, re-design, and introduction of new software modules.
Implement principled methods to real vehicles, ultimately testing your hardware on the road.
Communicate your work effectively through documentation, presentations to your peers, and reports to stakeholders.
Continuously expand your technical toolset and knowledge and of the state of the art by investigating third-party tools and open-source libraries, reading papers, forming connections with academic and industry research networks, and attending conferences when relevant.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
Requirements for you to succeed in this role
Mater's degree required with 7 10 years of relevant experience
Relevant degrees: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in fundamental blocks for hardware acceleration for AI/ML/LLM.
Comfortable mapping mathematical algorithms to hardware.
Experience developing Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) suitable for programmable solutions in specialized acceleration. Strong coding skills in C/C++
Experience profiling and optimizing for cache and memory.
Comfortable exploring design space with FPGA implementations.
Ways to stand out from the crowd
Competence in ARM IP, ARM tools, AXI, CHI, PCIe/CXL and UXL
Strong coding skills in Verilog and SystemVerilog
Deep understanding of verification, UVM/OVM, formal methods
Experience with tools for Power, Performance, Area analysis for final SoC.
Experience with VCS
Experience with ROS and/or with robots, vehicles, or other physical systems.
Active contributions to the open source community.

Salary Range:
$100,917.00 - $230,589.00
