Compensation

Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need.
The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Department: Food & Nutrition Services

Position Summary

Summary:
The Dietary Aide Cashier works under the direction of the Food Service Café Manager to ensure that the employee cafeteria is operating according to department and hospital standards.
The Dietary Aide Cashier demonstrates customer service skills while handling cash transactions and keeping the cafeteria clean and sanitary at all times.
The food service and clinical programs provide services based on department standards for meal delivery, nutritional assessment and patient education.


Qualifications

Responsibilities:
Education Required
• Must complete in-house orientation program
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Experience And Skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• Previous food service experience and/or healthcare experience.


License/Certifications Working Conditions

• Requires standing in one position plus periods of movement, while working in high temperature area.
