Description As a member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a small team of highly skilled engineers to bring new, Generative-AI enabled experiences to Apple products. This position requires a self-motivated engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:
Expanding iOS-based platforms to bring new Generative AI-enabled experiences to lifePrototyping ideas to support feature definition and iterationCommunicating ideas to the Apple Design Team and other cross-functional partnersParticipating and leading architecture discussions and code reviewBuilding internal tools to ship and maintain high-quality softwareMinimum Qualifications Strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals - BS Computer Science or equivalent experience required.Extensive iOS Development experience, including experience with Swift and Apple development toolsProven software architecture experience, with strong object-oriented programming and design foundationsAbility to break down large features and implement practical solutionsTrack record of working cross-functionally and building strong partnerships amongst teams and individualsCuriosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguityPreferred Qualifications The following skills are not required, but knowledge of one or more of these areas would be valuable:Familiarity with AI principles or experience with developing software with large language modelsExperience with one or more domains in iOS/macOS/tvOS development such as system shells, daemons and services, application frameworks, UI frameworks, or power and performance.Additional Requirements At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
