The Stanford Psychiatry Center for Youth Mental Health & Wellbeing (CYMHW) is seeking an allcove Network Director to lead all aspects of the allcove integrated youth mental health model implementation and network expansion, including overseeing the implementation of the allcove center model in 12-15 established and emerging pilot sites throughout the country, in this innovative, first of its kind in the US approach to integrated, mild-moderate services for youth ages 12-25. Working under minimal supervision but as part of a growing team, this position will lead the team developing and implementing allcove integrated 'one stop shop' youth mental health centers in the Bay Area, statewide and nationally. Modeled off of successful international models, the pilot of allcove will create stand-alone, integrated care sites for young people ages 12-25 to access early mental health support, physical health check-ups, substance use counseling, peer support, and education and employment resources all under one roof. The Director will be responsible for overseeing implementation of the network of centers and the technical assistance team assembled to support them.
Working under minimal supervision, the experienced Director will provide overall leadership and supervision to 8-10 Central allcove Team members (CaT), including the Implementation Manager, as they work directly with stakeholders (community-based organization staff, County behavioral health leadership, state leaders, program consultants, etc.) to complete implementation milestones such as business model development, community engagement, youth advisory board formation, facility procurement, recruitment and training of service providers, data system integration and more.
The Director will require excellent communication skills and be willing to navigate complex procedures, regulations and laws, in order to challenge the status quo by designing and implementing new approaches to support youth wellbeing. This role will require working in a dynamic environment and applying creativity and compromise to overcome barriers in order to achieve program implementation.
The Director will have autonomy in developing and drafting recommended CaT policies, strategies and workflows that reflect the integrity of the program balanced with the reality of the infrastructure and systems in place. The Director will serve as a key member of the CYMHW's leadership team and work closely in conjunction with the Center Director and Program Director.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable leading a multidisciplinary team, managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, be innovative, flexible, detail-oriented, creative, resourceful, self-motivated, and solutions-focused. They will have excellent communication skills, experience working within complex clinical systems, ideally in a community facing role, and be able to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals and organizations.
Responsibilities: Supervise and provide leadership to members of the Central allcove Team.Offer clinical governance and policy guidance to the allcove network of 12-15 centers for the medical and behavioral health service streams delivered through the allcove model.Work closely with state leadership and the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) to develop a financial sustainability plan for allcove centers for California and with other partners to create sustainable financial modeling for other allcove centers across the US.Lead state and national allcove outreach efforts, including formal presentations and delivery of expertise on the allcove model to key stakeholders, prospective funders, interested communities and parties across the country.Provide oversight for administration of the "datacove" data collection system and allcove evaluation and work with domestic and international partners to collaborate on strengthening and refining a shared common data set and best practices related to implementing a youth mental health model.Engage in regular meetings with community partners, Center for Youth Mental Health & Wellbeing leadership, local, county, state and other community partners and international colleagues in developing and refining the allcove model and the model integrity process.Provide community-based implementation assistance, consultation and planning in the development of the operating and planned allcove centers across the state and country.Serve as a subject matter expert on the allcove model in public forums, conferences and events.Oversee the implementation of an allcove learning community and its execution of regular webinars, presentations, collaborations and resource-sharing tools, including planning a network-wide conference every two years.Work with national and international partners to develop and monitor model fidelity and expand the capacity for the allcove model to benefit from and share in the international effort to expand youth mental health programs.Collaborate with the CYMHW leadership to roll out new programs and procedures across the allcove centers and within the Center for Youth Mental Health & Wellbeing that support increased awareness, service access, and stigma-reduction for mental health services for individuals ages 12-25.Serve as a critical liaison between lead agency implementation teams and stakeholder organizations – including Stanford CYMHW and the State Mental Health Oversight and Accountability Commission.Duties include: Lead the planning and operations for delivery of the allcove model and associated functions, which have significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise.Evaluate programs or functions, policies and procedures. Identify issues, and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies and procedures.Review and analyze trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify the goals of the program or function.Represent the program or function within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.Manage and contribute to the development of outreach strategy that may include relationship development, communications and compliance.May develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.Help support and manage Central allcove Team growth through developing job postings and participating in the interviewing and hiring process.Directing and supervising staff.Periodic travel to allcove centers, conferences and community meetings is required.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's level clinician (social work, counseling).
Relevant expertise and experience in mental health/health care systems background.
7-10 years of minimum experience.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position is based in Stanford's Research Park and has the option of a telecommuting/hybrid schedule subject to operational needs. The expected pay range for this position is $73,000 to $141,000 per annum.
