The MSIM Alternative Investments Distribution team is a global team focused on coordinating and driving the following key activities across the MSIM Alternative Investments platform: Investor Coverage, Capital-Raising, Marketing, New Product Development and Market Intelligence.
The MSIM Alternative Investments Distribution team is seeking an experienced, independent, self-motivated distribution professional to lead the MSIM Alternatives business development and distribution efforts within the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel for the western US region.
Position Summary
Coordinate all AI sales efforts on behalf of the MSIM Alternative Investments platform within the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) channel for the Eastern half of the United States
Partner with existing Eaton Vance dedicated RIA long-only wholesaling team to meet and build relationships with RIAs in your designated territory as well as develop a direct dialogue with the AI focused members of the advisor teams
Act as a true specialist who can explain complex AI strategies and concepts at a granular level to RIAs across the full spectrum of alternative asset classes including privateequity,private credit,private real estate / infrastructure,and hedge funds
Focus on proactive outreach including regular travel to RIAs in your coverage area to educate them on the MSIM AI platform and capabilities
Collaborate with MSIM's national accounts team to get MSIM AI funds approved at larger RIA aggregators as well as independent AI platform providers such as iCapital and CAIS
Establish and maintain a business plan to identify, target and service the top AI producing RIAs in your coverage area
Host regional events / roadshows to educate RIAs onMSIMsalternative investment strategies and funds
Manage and utilize CRM data base to track RIA interactions / opportunities
Cross departmentcollaborationwithinvestment teams,product development,marketingand onboarding on new product ideas, demand assessments, marketing materials, etc.
BS / BA degree
License requirements: Series 7 and 63
Ideally 5 – 10 years of alternative investments outside sales experience
Experience selling into the RIA channel and deep understanding of the RIA ecosystem
Completion of or progress toward CFA/CAIA is a plus
Excellent communication and listening skills
Willingness to engage in regular travel
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and succinctly
Ability to make presentations effectively

Must be a team player with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment as well as independently
Salary range for the position: $125,000- $200,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
