Pay PhilosophyThe typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Responsibilities
Work as part of the real estate equity team to support new investment activity into direct real estate transactions primarily through joint venture structures
Perform underwriting, financial analysis, due-diligence, and asset management on real estate investments across U.S markets
Focus on acquisitions and ground-up development in target sectors including rental housing and industrial sectors
Actively participate in all facets of the investment process including identification of new opportunities, due-diligence, asset management, and dispositions
Build, manipulate, and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate and support investment recommendations
Responsible for market research to evaluate supply/demand fundamentals and viability of potential new investments
Support asset management by tracking operating performance and performing financial analysis to assist in decision making
Prepare investment committee materials and present analysis to senior leadership across LMI
Promote a culture of collaboration and be willing to work cross-functionally to add value across the organization
Work alongside various departments to assist in building and customizing asset and portfolio management reports
QualificationsMinimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in real estate equity investing
Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance
Exceptional financial modeling skills with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to speak with conviction and persuasion
Team player with a willingness to be flexible and take on additional responsibilities depending on the needs of the business
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and within a team environment
Flexible approach to work and willingness/ability to travel
High level of attention to detail, aptitude, poise and maturity
Intellectual curiosity with the ability to think critically, challenge assumptions, and contribute ideas to the broader organization
