Anesthesia Veterinary Technician - Swing ShiftCulver City, CA *$2,500 Sign on bonus available for experienced technicians* Who we areLocated in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24-hour Emergency services, where our technicians encounter all sorts of cases when working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. Our techs' days could involve a Macaw with a broken beak, time in one of our many advanced operating rooms, or watching our Orthopedic Surgeons replace a dog's elbow. It's a long list of unique experiences best suited to those who absolutely love caring for sick or injured animals in a high-paced, renowned animal hospital.
Role Responsibilities:Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.Experience & Skills Requirements:Understanding of anesthesia protocols including pre-anesthetic assessments, drug dosages, and post-anesthesia care.Proficiency in monitoring equipment, administering anesthesia, and responding to anesthesia-related emergencies.Attention to detail, ensuring precise dosages, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining detailed patient records.Established record of working extensively in soft tissue surgeries.Enjoy being a key player on a dynamic team providing the highest standard of patient care.Embody our core values: service, compassion, integrity, and quality.You'll Grow With UsHere, you can grow your career as best fits you through access to comprehensive learning and skillset programs. Compensation: $35-$45 /hour + shift differentials. Pay rate dependent upon experience/skills assessment.
