Inpatient Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist Opportunity - Block Schedule - Montana (experience required) Benefis Hospital, in Great Falls, Montana, is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our pediatric inpatient team at our large regional health system. Only candidates with vast inpatient pediatric experience will be considered, and PICU or pediatric ER experience is strongly preferred.
Our inpatient medical experts include Pediatricians, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Psychiatry Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Anesthesiologists, Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners. Additional outpatient pediatric resources include: Pediatricians, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Cardiology, Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, Pediatric Psychology and Neuropsychology, and Pediatric Therapies.
Pediatric Hospitalist Program Details Full time = 182 shifts per yearSchedule is typically 7 on/7 offInpatient team of 2 Pediatric Physicians and 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners1 physician, 1 nurse practitioner working together per 24 shift and alternating 1st call every other day/night for work life balance.Ability to take call from homeInpatient pediatric rounds, newborn rounds, and response to ED for pediatric patientsEach day can bring its own unique challenges with the variety of patients and families that are cared for in our region. If we are unable to care for a pediatric patient or if the patient requires a true PICU or specialty care, we have a medical jet for transport to Seattle Children's Hospital.Acuity ranges from overnight admission for observation to acute PICU level care.
