Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. You'll learn more about this during the recruitment process.JOB SUMMARY:The Application Engineer role is to implement and maintain vendor provided software applications across all Parks. This includes installation and implementation as well as troubleshooting while providing day to day support to existing software applications. The Application Engineer will setup and maintain system administration and configuration of software systems.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide day-to-day application support on software systems at all Park Technology locations. This includes after hours, weekends, and on-call support.Troubleshoot, analyze logs, replicate errors, determine root cause, and communicate findings. Liaise with other technical teams to assist in resolving problems with software products and/or configuration of hardware components.Build and maintain software system configuration of supported applications while adhering to defined standards.Attend meetings with business partners and vendors to communicate strategies, deployments, and troubleshoot issues.Design, run and monitor test cases on new and existing applications for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging.Create and maintain application documentation for all software applications including evolving processes. Provide knowledge transfer and onboarding for Associate level members of the team.Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business is preferred.EXPERIENCE:3+ years of work experience in IT, preferred in IT Support roles.Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Or equivalent combination of education and experience.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:The job is based in Orlando, Florida and requires 24x7 support, either on-call and/or on-site.
