Position Type: Computer Technology/Programmer Analyst Date Posted: 10/21/2024 Location: Administration Closing Date: Open Until Filled 2024 - 2025 School Year Job Purpose: The Application Programmer/Analyst supports and modifies the district's key business & instructional applications systems to meet the needs of the district.
This includes configuring, maintaining, testing, debugging, and documenting such applications.
Performs system configuration and development where necessary to integrate applications systems and provide the required reporting to support the needs of the district.
Identifies the technical requirements associated with the implementation, upgrade and configuration of applications systems.
Resolves complex problems with existing applications systems working closely with end users and peers.

Experience in web-based programming, preferably (HTML, CSS, Javascript - NodeJS experience is a plus) Highly proficient in Microsoft Database and related technologies including SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS).
Education and Experience: Minimum four years related professional experience is desired.
Minimum two years performing SQL server database administration, data management, reporting and integration services Minimum two years supporting and maintaining business applications and/or student information systems.
Previous experience in a K-12 or higher education school environment preferred Up-to-date Microsoft SQL server certification desired Duties and Responsibilities: Works collaboratively with district departments to perform requirements analysis and solution design that encompasses delivered system functionality as well as development and implementation of custom software, interfaces and reports.
Develops, modifies and maintains assigned business and instructional applications including finance, human resources, learning/professional development and student information systems.
Monitors the operation of assigned applications and responds to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding.
Reviews user requirements and needs for new software applications and performs analysis, design, implementation, and configuration in conjunction with software vendors and district departmental personnel.
Assists in end user support including troubleshooting, training and documentation.
Works collaboratively with other Information Technology teams as required to support the operation and maintenance of assigned applications.
Creates, maintains and supports reports as required to meet needs of the district utilizing appropriate tools including SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services and similar technologies.
Creates, maintains and supports data integration/transformation packages and system interfaces as required to meet needs of the district using appropriate tools including utilizing SQL Server Integration Services and similar technologies.
Creates and manages the credentials, backup, and restoration of PowerSchool SIS Oracle database production and test servers.
Maintains and supports the D300 internal web servers.
Ensures data confidentiality and security is maintained in handling sensitive documents & information.
Maintains a current level of required technical knowledge to perform in a fast-changing environment.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.?
