Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.
The Clinical Application Analyst position supports the core functions of Epic clinical applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. This position will implement, administer, and support assigned clinical systems under the guidance of senior members of the team. This position will have a thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations. This position will address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity and deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization. Coordinate application support with other information technology teams including System Administrators, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the Help Desk. Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department's policies and procedures. Provide solutions to work orders, trouble tickets and projects for assigned departments. Qualifications: Education: Required: Relevant degree or experience in lieu of degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Licensure/Certification: Required: Relevant Epic certification(s) required for those positions supporting an Epic application; must complete relevant Epic certification(s) within 12 months of hire or 12 months from transferring into position Experience: Required: Two to four years in healthcare or information systems related positions. Essential Responsibilities: Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations. Acts as a liaison between assigned departments, clinical end users and I.S. technical personnel. Assists in the coordination and maintenance of all current systems for assigned departments. Support the departments and staff during, and post implementation, of assigned applications/systems. Provides at the elbow support for providers and end users as needed during and after clinical system upgrades. Analyzes current systems and processes in order to identify opportunities for improvement in patient care, provider productivity, financial outcomes and ancillary relations or cost savings. Identify and assist with planning for, and developing, department-specific requirements for future product acquisitions. Performs written and oral project status reporting on a regular basis as requested. Communicates with IS staff members, vendors and users, and facilitates communication between these groups to identify system needs, modifications, and/or issues. Works with these groups to reach resolution of issues, define necessary modifications and develop solutions. Analyzes user-requested programming changes, documents requests, facilitates communication between users and IS staff. Works with vendors to determine, review and document acceptance of system changes. Facilitates communications between IS personnel and vendor representatives. Provides technical assistance and support to expert users. Follows Project Management Office (PMO) guidelines on all projects. Assures that all necessary documentation (i.e. procedures, processes) is properly completed. Troubleshoots issues and document for vendor resolution. Update all service requests on a monthly basis and communicate updates to the requestor on a monthly basis. Ensures that email and voice mail indicate unavailability with alternative contact when out of office. Assume administrative tasks to support management as requested and perform other duties as assigned. To Apply for this Job Click Here
