As an Apprentice Hire Controller, you will be learning to do one of the most important jobs in our business, looking after our customers. Which means building relationships, getting to know what they do, how they do it, and most importantly, how we can help them do it better.
Your days will be spent communicating with customers, learning to use your initiative to ensure we deliver the very best experience for our customers and that we continue to improve our service.
We will provide you with everything you need and ensure you are equipped for success. This will include training, support and guidance whilst working alongside our experienced team members, and inclusion on our Customer Service Development programme, which is designed to ensure that you're confident and empowered to deliver a world class rental experience to your customers. Additionally, we will enrol you on a 15-month Hire Controller apprenticeship programme to further develop your industry knowledge.  There could not be a more exciting time to join us and following successful completion of your training you will be offered a permanent role, with one of the best rental equipment providers in the industry.

Daily you'll work within one of our Operational Centres where you will:
Continuously gain an extensive knowledge of our products and servicesExpand your confidence whilst learning to communicate with customers on the telephone and via email Succeed in understanding how to manage all aspects of an order, from enquiry to post-hire feedback and take ownership of the customer journeyBuild excellent working relationships with customers, learning to understand their business needs and requirements Develop the ability to recommend products and services that meet customer needs, ensuring a comprehensive and effective customer experience every timeDevelop exceptional communication skills including effective negotiating and influencingLearn to use your own judgment and initiative to make decisions in line with our company policies and pricing structuresGain an understanding of managing hire contract administration, ensuring that this is completed in a timely and accurate mannerBecome an ambassador for our "Customer First" culture, resolving any issues quickly and keeping your customers informed, so that they feel truly valuedExpand your team working skills with your colleagues and the wider Sunbelt Rentals teamExperience a varied workday in a fast-paced operational environment, learning to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesEmbrace learning new IT systems and enjoy making the most of technology in your job role Apprenticeship Training You will be completing a level 2 Hire Controller Apprenticeship Standard.  This will be delivered using a combination of.
Workplace experience to gain practical skillsGuidance and training from an experienced workplace mentorIndustry recognised training leading to an apprenticeship qualification.
