Responsibilities
• Answer incoming calls promptly not to exceed the third ring• Create solutions with compassion and provide excellent customer service• Accept and process credit card payments• Document notes regarding all telephone calls/correspondence• Send patient or insurance summaries or itemized statements upon request• Work assigned accounts and meet daily productivity goals• Attend seminars as requested• Maintain compliance with company policies and standards• Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED• 1 year of customer service, patient registration, billing or equivalent experience• Working knowledge of medical and insurance terms• Ability to review, comprehend, and discuss HCFA billing• Knowledge of general insurance requirements• Experience working with EOBs and contractual adjustments• General computer knowledge, including electronic filing• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with professionalism• Ability to meet productivity expectations
