SUMMARY:This position is primarily responsible for performing accounts receivable, month-end close and other functions of the accounting department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensures funds received are applied properly and accurately. Analyze and address discrepancies with customer. Prepare and deposit funds received in office. Process credit cards sales. Reconcile aging to general ledger. Reach out to customers for collections of accounts receivable. Generate invoices and statements for the customers. Close and balance accounts receivables and sales and prepare the reports for closing. Assist with month end reconciliations and adhere to month end deadlines. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Intermediate knowledge of excel. Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles. Experience with accounting ERP system.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Associates or bachelor's degree in accounting. Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX). Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
OTHER: The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
