Role and Responsibilities Qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:
Licensed Architect in New York State. Minimum 5-10 years of architectural experience, with a focus on K-12 and higher education facilities. In-depth understanding of New York State Education Department (SED) procedures for public schools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for:
Lead and participate in all phases of K-12 and higher education project design and execution, from concept through construction. Interpret and apply New York State Education Department (SED) requirements for public school projects. Ensure compliance with SED procedures, keeping current with all relevant updates and protocols. Collaborate closely with clients, developing trusted relationships and ensuring alignment with project vision and goals. Engage in business development activities, identifying new client needs, attending presentations and contributing to strategic planning.
