Position Overview
Architectural Production Manager works under the direction of the Studio Director and/or Vice President Architectural Division managing the production of working drawings for all construction and project types.
Functions of Position The Production Manager will work with the Studio Director and/or Vice President to manage/maintain the development and implementation of document and constructability standards.
They will need to perform QA/QC reviews on various project types while monitoring compliance with set standards while also reviewing project specific details.
Reviews will be presented to project teams and LGE Design Build accordingly.
Collaborate with project teams and LGE Design Build on project details, bidding concerns and the overall document coordination and clarity.
Attend meetings and job site visits with construction department personnel to review LGE Design Build Lessons Learned and coordinate the implementation with Architectural Division accordingly.
Meet regularly with construction department personnel to monitor consistent issues with shop drawings and RFI's to provide continual enhancements to documentation and constructability standards.
This individual will be responsible for providing guidance and mentorship to staff when appropriate.
Attend certain project meetings that pertain to constructability issues and coordinate directly with municipalities, sub-contractors or engineers when project issues are in conflict with LGE standards.
Support the production of project specifications.
Assist in the development of office specification standards.
Create and maintain a database of material resource documents.

Ability to multi-task; can work within a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, organized, communicates clearly.
Competently managing with high attention to detail of projects and personnel to effectively deliver projects and meet deadlines as scheduled Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD Revit pertaining to its integration with contract documents; a high level of knowledge of Excel, Word and Bluebeam.
Understanding of local zoning, building codes and systems, energy codes, ADA requirements, construction documents, construction administration and related procedures.
Able to review complete sets of construction documents and identify drawing and design issues and provide resolutions to resolve and effectively coordinate with the entire team and jurisdiction to provide approvals for permits to construction.
Help maintain the project process and communications with adjoining departments.
Must have firsthand experience in creation and implementation of processes and protocols.
Must be able to effectively communicate with clients, construction, estimating, jurisdictions, consultants, etc.
Reporting
The Production Manager will report directly to the Studio Director and/or Vice President Architectural Division.
Manages the Standards Committee and runs periodic Standards Committee meetings to review documentation and constructability standards.
Evaluation
An annual review by the Studio Director and/or Vice President Architectural Division, peers, and related company staff will be used as part of the evaluation.
The above functions of the position will be used as a basis of the evaluation, delivery of projects on time, issues with plans, and interaction of the individual with the TEAM and company as a whole.
