Cortica is looking for an Area Medical Director - Pediatric Neurologist to join our growing team in Massachusetts!
To provide administrative medical leadership within a Cortica Area, including direct management and supervision of physicians and nurse practitioners; To provide medical care to patients with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental differences as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical team at Area clinics.

Our clinical services span: Pediatric Neurology (including metabolism and genetics) Nutrition and Feeding Speech-Language Therapy Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy Music Therapy Family Counseling Behavior Intervention (ABA and Developmentally Based Models) Electroencephalography (EEG) Neuromodulation Therapies What will you do? Administrative duties (up to 20%): Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and overseeing ongoing training and performance for new physicians and other medical practitioners, including in-person and virtual support as needed for supervision and performance coaching.
Partnering/collaborating with Area Directors and other area administrative leaders to achieve clinical and operational excellence.
This includes, but is not limited to, designing schedule templates, arranging clinical care coverage, managing performance of direct reports (in partnership with Human Resources department).
Achieve clinical and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for area medical program, including clinical metrics of the Whole Child Scorecard and operational metrics (including but not limited to RVUs, new patient visits, and referrals to Cortica services).
Lead, inspire, and motivate area medical team and broader clinical/operational team to align and execute on Cortica's mission.
Participate in business development, program leadership, community outreach, and payer relations in collaboration with Cortica leadership to promote Cortica's organizational development.
Clinical duties (up to 80%): Provide direct patient care, in-person and via telehealth, to pediatric patients that fall within the clinical scope of Cortica's patient population at area clinics.
Percentage of direct patient care activities will be prorated based on the number of direct reports.
Perform all required activities related to patient care, inclusive of all elements of the history, exam, clinical decision-making, order entry, appropriate referrals to other services or specialists, documentation, and any other tasks needed for appropriate patient care, at the expected standards of clinical quality and timeliness.
Meet productivity standards and expected ratio of new patient visits to follow-up patient visits based on size of patient panel.
Timely completion of clinical documentation, with 80% of encounters completed same day and 100% of encounters completed within two business days.
Communication of all patient care plans to Medical Assistants face-to-face following each appointment and response to all patient care needs within a clinically-appropriate response time (not to exceed 2 business days).
We'd love to hear from you if: You have completed Medical School from an Accredited University.
You have completed a Residency or Fellowship in Child Neurology.
You are Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Child Neurology, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, or other related specialty.
You currently possess an unrestricted in the corresponding states (Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina) medical license or have the ability to obtain one before the start date.
Previous experience in a clinical leadership position preferred.

The base pay range for this opening is $240,695 to $312,904.
According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
