Area Sales Manager – Group SalesThe Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as an Area Sales Manager on a part-time basis. This role entails a combination of base salary and commission, and offers a competitive compensation package totaling $57,000 to $69,000 per year. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and promoting our luxurious resort and all it has to offer to potential clients. This is an individual contributor role that requires a passion for sales, exceptional communication skills, and a strong knowledge of the Longboat Key, Florida area.Responsibilities:Promote and sell the resort's accommodations, amenities, and services to potential clients.Maintain existing accounts and develop new business.Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and other key partners in order to secure group business.Conduct sales presentations, property tours, and generate proposals to clients.Use strong negotiation and communication skills to close sales and meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.Communication; excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.Enthusiastic and driven to achieve or exceed quarterly and annual goals.Ability to negotiate intelligently, overcome objections, and close deals, despite market conditions.Possess a passion for outstanding customer service and a desire to be the best.Possess a strong understanding of hotel operations, revenue management, and local market conditions.Excellent organization skills and time management skills.Must be reliable and consistent to the team and to the customer.Have a desire to continually learn and develop in our ever-evolving industry.Computer skills – Delphi/FDC, Salesforce, OPERA, HMS, Microsoft office.Minimum two years of hotel sales or related industry experience.Collaborate with other departments within the resort to ensure a seamless experience for the client and to maximize sales opportunities.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry.Strong knowledge of the Longboat Key, Florida area and its surrounding attractions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.Customer-focused with exceptional relationship building skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.Compensation & Benefits:The base salary for this position is $57,000 per year with the potential to earn up to $12,000 in commission based on sales performance.
