Symmetrio is actively recruiting for an Area Sales Manager for our customer, an industry leader in oncology-focused medical device solutions. This candidate is responsible for promoting and selling radiotherapy products focused on image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT), and treatment planning software. This role requires a sales professional skilled in relationship management, account development, and strategic selling to various healthcare professionals, including radiation oncologists, neurosurgeons, and administrators across hospitals and radiotherapy centers.
This position requires travel within the territory. The Territory Manager must live within the geographic area of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska or Missouri. ResponsibilitiesDevelop creative sales strategies for accounts within the territory, addressing all buying influences and leading to closed sales.Maintain market transparency and a customer database within Salesforce, updating activities for the respective region.Leverage established relationships to influence other accounts, support upgrade business, and maximize cross-selling opportunities.Regularly contact key decision-makers at target accounts via visits, calls, letters, and event attendance to maintain and strengthen relationships.Establish and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients through site visits, product presentations, and customer meetings.Manage the full sales cycle, including product presentations, contract negotiations, and post-sale support.Conduct accurate sales forecasts and contribute data for annual budget planning.Develop a 12-month sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives and sales goals.Monitor market trends, including competitor activities, and share insights with internal teams to adapt strategies as needed.Collaborate with Surgery counterparts and other sales teams to address neurosurgeons and other buying influences.Attend medical shows to connect with potential clients and strengthen relationships with existing clients.Engage in continuous self-training to stay knowledgeable about product advancements and maintain a professional, innovative company image.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experienceAt least 2 years in sales within the radiation oncology industry, with documented success as a top sales representativeStrong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)High comfort with technology and understanding of healthcare ROI and economic justificationAbility to work independently, detail-oriented, and self-motivatedBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)401k Retirement PlanPaid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Flexible Scheduling
