Job Title: Art Director
Department: Global Marketing
Salary Range: $91,400 -$113,000 per year plus an annual bonus
Location: Ada, MI (Hybrid schedule, in the office in Ada on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)
What do we need:
We are looking for an Art Director with strong design skills who will bring our creative strategies to life from concept to execution throughout various mediums across our global brands within Amway. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Brand Managers, Amway's Social Media Leads, Creative Project Managers, the Creative Solutions team and external agencies and creative partners to build Amway's brands and help Amway Business Owners attract customers.
What is special about this role:
In this role, you will use your design background to apply brand strategy and standards as well as design principles and best practices to holistic brand and product launch campaigns across mediums including web, social media, video, print, etc. You will have the opportunity to develop creative concepts that deliver on brand and campaign strategies, provide clear and actionable art direction to agencies, graphic artists and other creative partners across projects and on set productions; and to design and execute various creative elements as needed. This role will provide broad exposure to a fun, fast paced, varied, collaborative, global environment and opportunity for growth and development.
Required qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree with focus in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or similar field of study
Minimum 6 years' experience in art direction, design or similar field
A comprehensive creative portfolio of professional content, with individual contributions clearly attributed per project.
Demonstrated experience working with holistic campaigns from concept to execution
Demonstrated experience in digital mediums, especially social media - channels, content trends and best practices, social campaigns, etc.
Proven working knowledge of applied principles of graphic design, including color, composition and typography.
Ability to solve complex creative problems as they relate to the execution/interpretation of visual design.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Must have expert Skills and effiencies in: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience in animation software: Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro
Experience with motion storytelling skills and social media content creation
What skills and background will be important to be successful:
Experience with premium consumer brands in the health and wellness, beauty and personal care spaces
Experience with global brands and design for audiences in the West and East
Strong prioritization skills with an ability to manage a variety of projects, from small creative tasks to larger deliverables
Understanding of emerging global social platforms and content trends
Self-motivated and able to stay organized with changing workloads and assignments
Demonstrates a genuine openness to feedback and constant, fluid change while resisting the negative effects of decision by committee.
Working knowledge of photography, photographic production processes and photo editing
Experience providing top tier creative deliverables to a variety of clients with different business goals
Ability to create mood boards and execute upon an established creative direction
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work positively and productively with globally diverse team members
