JOB DESCRIPTION
ASG is looking for a highly experienced executive to join the leadership team as ASG President.
The ASG President will be someone who deeply loves to develop businesses and people into their highest potential.
You will have a proven track record of operating successful SaaS businesses (prior CEO preferred) and the ability to think like an operator and an investor.
The main role of the ASG President will be to function as Board Chair for ~6 companies responsible for building enduring businesses, maximizing enterprise value and mentoring CEOs to achieve exceptional growth.
You will oversee the important maturity that happens while businesses grow at ASG - setting a strategic vision, driving a value creation plan, managing through operational decisions, and ensuring exceptional growth.
The ASG President will be responsible for the ultimate success of businesses and CEOs they oversee.
The ASG President will also be a key member of the ASG Leadership Team, reporting directly to ASG's CEO and driving future strategy for the collective ASG business and holding company team.
You're Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will: Strategic Leadership Provide strategic leadership to your companies spanning the deal life cycle (diligence through exit), providing support across key value creation levers; growth, cost and risk.
Play a pivotal role in the future add on and acquisition strategy for your companies - identifying, evaluating and integrating potential acquisitions.
Oversee the building and scaling of GTM motions in every company; scaling companies from ~$10M to $100M - $200M in revenue during the ASG lifecycle.
Bring strategic innovation to the ASG leadership team and collective business - pushing us to think bigger and scale ASG to be best in the world at vertical SaaS.
Establish yourself as a leader of leaders - ability to scale bright spots from your CEOs to the entire community.
Operational Management Keep an operational pulse on your companies and provide recommendations and oversight to major decisions through monthly board meetings.
Monitor monthly financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to ensure financial targets are met.
Executive Development Be an always on resource for your CEO; coach them through operational and people challenges, growth investments, and leadership needs.
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing management teams at each of your companies Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement We're Excited About You Because You Have: Held multiple senior executive roles in capital backed environments (PE, VC, growth equity); preference for prior CEO experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred Demonstrated ability to improve profitability and grow businesses Ability to grasp and leverage all core SaaS metrics (MRR, rev & customer retention, LTV/CAC, S&M efficiency, etc) to lead and make decisions Organic growth leadership - experience building & scaling GTM motions in mid-market and/or enterprise SaaS companies.
Ideally has scaled companies from ~$10m to $100-200m revenue Prior exposure to PE and fluency in how we look at returnsROI, IRR, key debt terms, etc.
Ability to think as a capital allocator (strategic level finance decisions) Track record of leading businesses through exit or recap events, and completing & integrating add-ons Track record of and love for mentoring others, with tangible experience training and developing executives to help them reach their full potential Track record of leading a winning team, holds incredibly high standards and demands excellence of those around them Immense pace of play and high adversity quotient Intellectual curiosity in spades - constantly questioning the way things work, and how to improve them Demonstrated independent thinking skills with strong communication skills to influence.
Comes up with their own ideas & recommendations and brings a unique perspective Experience managing through adversity Ability to digest and asses information quickly, a master at context switching Base Salary Range: The target base salary range for this position is $400k - $450k and is part of a competitive total rewards package including a significant annual performance bonus, a significant long term incentive plan, employer-paid benefits, and L&D stipend.
Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
Location: Bay Area preferred (with relocation package available for those willing and able to move).
Open to remote work with minimum quarterly Bay Area travel required.
