Job Description Works in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, training, and discipline.Inspects seats visually for cosmetic defects according to customer standards.Inspects seats for assembly completion (No missing parts and properly functions).Checks torque of fasteners/bolts required by specification.Reports quality issues to Team Leader and rejects nonconforming seats.Follows standardized inspection procedures and work sequence for each process.Works with Team Leader to improve standardized processes/methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process/methods.Directly responsible for performance of assigned work area.Works in a team environment on safety, quality, productivity and cost improvement projects.Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested.Understands and follows all SAIA policies and procedures. Work Experience Focuses on employee relations centered on trust and teamwork.Experience with gages like steel scale, slide caliper.Demonstrates understanding of customer's standard for seat inspection.Focuses on continually improving skills as outlined during performance review.Attends all required training as outlined on the SAIA training matrix.Basic math skills are required.
