Job Title: Assembly Technician
Standard Bots, which specializes in designing and manufacturing robotic arms for various industries, is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be charged with building and testing of robots.
They will also work closely with the facilities manager and the broader engineering team to improve operational efficiency and product manufacturability.
The role is on-site at our manufacturing facility (Glen Cove, NY).
As Assembly Technician you will:
Perform necessary operations to correctly assemble production robotsReport defects and issues pertaining to quality & process to Production SupervisorPerform quality inspections and tests to ensure highest customer satisfactionMaintain a safe working environment ensuring all company and industrial standards are followed at all timesAssist in developing assembly and test proceduresReceive, unload, unpack and transfer materials to different work stationsContribute to driving continuous improvement of efficiency on the facility floor Minimum Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalentTwo (2) or more years experience in a hands-on mass production line environmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbsPositive attitude and team playerAbility to multitask and handle tasks with competing priorities effectivelyEffective communicatorExtreme attention to detail Bonus Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degreeExperience with automotive, aerospace, industrial, mechatronic or electromechanical device manufacturingExperience with machine shop equipment (preferred, not required)Knowledge of OSHA best practicesProgramming experience Other Information: 1st shift, Monday-FridayHealth, dental, vision and life insurance
