Assistant Actuary

We are currently looking for an  Assistant Actuary to join their Actuarial Services team.  This individual will not only help with strategic goals regarding profitability, growth, and retention, but will also be instrumental in building an in-house predictive modeling function.
Duties & Responsibilities Manages projects in support of pricing Uses predictive modeling experience to develop accurate and effective risk assessment Develops actuarial analyses used in determination of the indicated rate level Conducts deep data review and application of analytics identifying and recommending areas for improved profitability, growth, and retention Collaborates with Marketing, Underwriting, Claim, and Product to monitor market for product innovations Skills & Experience Minimum of three (3) years of actuarial experience required Experience with predictive modeling and analysis required Experience using SQL and R and able to identify and resolve complex data issues required Pursuing Casualty Actuarial Society designation with at least 4 actuarial exams completed required Prior experience in property and casualty insurance with a background in product development, pricing, or underwriting is preferred Advanced mathematical and statistical knowledge such as predictive analytics techniques required Compensation & Benefits Base $90,000 to $100,000 + bonus and competitive benefits
