Morgan Consulting Resources, Inc. has been retained to conduct the search for the Assistant Chief Financial Officer for El Camino Health Medical Network. The position is based in Los Gatos, CA. About the Organization:El Camino Health Medical Network, a leading/growing physician organization and an affiliate of El Camino Health, is a California Medical Foundation and currently operates 19 community-based ambulatory care clinics and medical practices in Los Gatos, San Jose, Cupertino, and Mountain View. About the Position:The Assistant Chief Financial Officer collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer and assumes responsibility for the ongoing effective operation of the department by exerting a leadership role that supports the organization, mission, vision, goals, and objectives while focusing on the patient, physicians, providers, employees, supporting entities, and the community as customers. The Assistant Chief Financial Officer has ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination, and integration between ECHMN and El Camino Health's financial functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:Work with leadership team to develop, plan, and execute short, medium, and long-range organization strategies; ensure the development and implementation of associated business plans, tactics, and policies as they relate to finance.Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making to the leadership team and the Board.Lead development and implementation of performance measures and enhance processes that drive accountability measurements throughout the organization.Analyze daily operating results to ensure that revenues, expenses, and labor are within budgeted objectives; advise department leaders and administration of needed changes and improvements in a timely manner.Establish and maintain sound financial controls and record keeping.Keep abreast of government regulatory requirements and the rapidly changing reimbursement environment to develop and implement changes to policies and procedures as needed.Ensure that the financial operations of the organization are carried out in an ethical, responsible manner.Establish and monitor the annual operating budget according to sound budgeting principles and corporate guidelines.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.An MBA, MHA and/or CPA designation is preferred.At least five years of progressive financial healthcare or equivalent experience in the areas of general accounting; operations; financial systems; financial statement preparation; review and analysis; multi-discipline management experience; and ethics in a medical foundation, medical group, managed care, or provider organization required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent analytical and organizational skills including systemic thinking and being a data driven decision maker.Proven sound business judgment and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of accounting principles and systems to maintain general ledgers and journals and prepare related financial statements and reports.Knowledge of physician/provider group performance metrics and compensation and performance practices.Salary range: A reasonable starting salary expectation is between $200,000 and $225,000, based upon related/relevant experience and internal equity.
