Job Summary This position is responsible for assisting in coaching the university's baseball program.
Responsibilities Assists in planning and managing practices and game day activities. - 40
Instructs, coaches, and motivates players.
Recruits student athletes. - 20
Attends high school games.
Evaluates players.
Communicates with coaches and players.
Advises and monitors the academic progress of student athletes. - 10
Provides advice and support to struggling students.
Monitors student athletes' community service.
Ensures compliance with eligibility requirements.
Maintains equipment and supply inventory. - 10
Purchases program equipment.
Submits requisitions for equipment purchases.
Coordinates team travel. - 10
Reserves transportation for away games.
Prepares expense reports and travel authorizations.
Coordinates meals and hotels.
Performs a variety of related duties. - 10

Required Qualifications Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required. More than one year of related experience required. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver¿s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing intercollegiate sports.
Knowledge of college-level athletic program management principles.
Knowledge of baseball rules and procedures.
