Position Overview: Impact CFO Services is a trusted provider of professional consulting services specializing in Accounting & Finance. We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Controller to join our team and support our Controller in managing client engagements and delivering high-quality financial services.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Controller in preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for client companies. Support the maintenance of general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy in recording financial transactions for client entities. Collaborate with the Controller in budgeting and forecasting processes, gathering and analyzing financial data to provide valuable insights to client companies. Conduct financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and recommend strategies for improvement to clients. Assist in developing and implementing internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, working closely with auditors to address inquiries and ensure audit readiness for client companies. Support tax compliance activities, including the preparation of tax returns and supporting documentation, in collaboration with external tax advisors. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in accounting and finance processes. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing exceptional service and support. Collaborate with team members to implement best practices and deliver excellence in financial services to client companies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred. Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
