As the Assistant Controller, you will work closely with the Controller and other finance team members to prepare monthly closings, manage financial audits, and provide insightful reports that guide strategic decision-making. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and reports. Support the Controller in managing the monthly close process and preparing financial analysis. Enhance and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. Assist in the preparation for audits, including gathering necessary documentation and information. Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support for various projects. Monitor and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a logistics or supply chain environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations relevant to the industry. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with internal stakeholders.
