InSite Property Group/GSA Management LLC is a leading self-storage developer, focusing on high barrier to entry markets across the United States. We are seeking an Assistant Development Manager to join our Development team.
Objective: The assistant development manager will assist in the development of new projects from concept through completion. The ideal candidate thrives in fast paced environment and works to resolve problems.
Responsibilities: Manage due diligence and feasibility tasks for new projects in collaboration with third party consultants. Assist project team with permitting, zoning, and engineering related tasks. Maintain project budgets and schedules. Develop reports for senior management. Attend weekly meetings with designers and contractors and maintain notes of critical items. Collaborate with project team to work through challenges. Extensive travel may be required at times. Other Functions: Ability to work a flexible schedule based upon Company's needs. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience: 1-4 years of experience. Ability to decipher construction documents. A degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school is preferred.Proficiency in project scheduling software.Proficiency is MS Office.Must be able to work within the USA.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Location: Remote in New York City, traveling among development sites, with the option to report to an office when and if needed
