The BU BME department is seeking to recruit an experienced manager to be the associate director and join this dynamic community.
The successful incumbent will have strong management skills, diplomacy, and be capable of swift reaction to time-sensitive and high demand situations.
The Associate Director provides daily and long-term administrative oversight, direction, assessment and policy implementation for the Biomedical Engineering Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral programs.
This position is responsible for all aspects of academic programming, support services and planning within the department for faculty and student populations.
This includes academic advising, admissions, orientation, recruitment, academic records management, graduation certification and student programming.
The Associate Director oversees all aspects of curricular planning in BME, including degree and course creations and revisions, enrollment management and academic year course scheduling.
The Associate Director leads and supervises an Academic Programs team of full-time professional staff members associated with the Masters and undergraduate programs as well as all temporary employees and student employees assigned.
This role is integral to maintaining the organizational structure necessary to sustain and grow our academic programs.
The Associate Director serves on various committees and as liaison to key offices within the University staff.

Required Skills Cover letter required along with resume. Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience including 2+ years of management experience or equivalent. Excellent communication and writing skills, strong management skills, ability to prioritize and work independently exercising good judgment, and solve problems with creativity.
