The Opportunity

Lesley University seeks an Assistant Director of Financial Aid reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Aid.
Some of their main responsibilities would be counseling students and parents about all aspects of financial aid.
Operating within federal and institutional guidelines, the Assistant Director evaluates applications for financial aid, reviews student eligibility, and awards funds.
The Assistant Director of Financial Aid works closely with the Admissions Office, Student Accounts, Finance Team, and the Registrar's Office and acts as a liaison for these departments and advocates any financial concerns the student may have.
Along with counseling duties and managing a caseload of students, the Assistant Director of Financial Aid will oversee federal or state financial aid program(s) and/or manage and coordinate institutional programs or processes.


Qualities and Capabilities

A successful candidate will have:

Bachelor's Degree required.
Three years+ of experience in higher education focusing on financial aid or student accounts.
Strong, clear written and public speaking skills.
Must be able to work in a collaborative environment with other offices on-campus.
Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
