We are currently seeking to hire an Assistant Director of Marketing. In this role, you will play an integral role in driving revenue and attendance for the Department of Athletics. Along with the marketing, sales, and communications staff, you will assist in increasing attendance, creating a positive and exciting game day atmosphere, increasing fan engagement, and furthering the brand of Rice Athletics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop the communication and brand strategy for individual program(s)Write, design, and coordinate the production of communication and marketing materialsRecommend integrated marketing plans / programs and strategies to meet business objectivesGuide event planning and execution as needed to support marketing objectivesAssist in vendor management on specific projectsConduct market research and analysis used to inform decisions regarding strategic marketing direction, product segmentation and customer targetingAssesse market opportunities and track market trendsRecommend marketing improvements based on findingsPerform all other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree (Master's degree in a related field is preferredOne year of related work experienceExperience with Microsoft Office Suite and AdobeRice University is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity at all levels.
