The Assistant Director will be the primary liaison between the marketing department and the admissions team, leading in the content design and delivery of the College's CRM. Key Responsibilities Deputize for the Director of Marketing, as needed; Assist the Director in maintaining and enhancing the institution's brand image and voice across all marketing channels; Assist the Director in planning, developing, and executing marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media, etc.); Create and manage social media design and coverage; Oversee the development, trafficking, and tracking of marketing materials between the designer and departments; Analyze data to inform marketing strategies and identify opportunities for growth; Draft web and other copy for review using AI, ChatGPT, Grammarly and other programs and emerging technologies; Build and revise web pages to maximize the customer experience; Help segment target audiences and tailor messaging to specific demographics using data analysis and research into effective marketing techniques for different populations; Monitor and make daily updates to the website and social media channels; Work with divisions and departments to develop fresh stories regarding students, faculty, staff, and alumni, providing advice and guidance to C-GCC personnel on story generation; Provide public relations support for all events hosted by various departments (which will require hours outside of normal hours of operation); Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, or partners for outsourced marketing activities; Work with the enrollment management team in managing content, data, and tactics within the College's CRM; Manage internal communications; Supervision of interns and student workers in the marketing department. Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, or a related field, plus a minimum of three years professional experience. Experience in an academic environment is a plus. Superior copy writing, editing, and proof-reading skills. Experience using enrollment management and communication-based CRMs e.g. Liaison, Slate, Constant Contact. Experience using emerging technologies for enrollment marketing purposes e.g. AI platforms. Solid photographic and videographic skills. An in-depth understanding of media and social media management platforms. Knowledge of and experience with common Content Management Systems such as Wordpress. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite. Strong project management and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format to a variety of audiences. Ideal Candidate Criteria Has experience in higher education marketing and communications work, with a thorough understanding of the role marketing plays in enrollment management. Demonstrates the ability to deputize for the director of marketing, leading projects, and enrollment-related initiatives without supervision. Exhibits outstanding creative skills with a flair for dynamic and audience-centric writing across a variety of marketing channels and media as demonstrated in a portfolio of work. Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve desired results. Offers prior experience in digital content creation, dissemination, monitoring, analysis, and reporting. Has familiarity with the Chicago Manual Style. Salary and Benefit Information Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
