Full job description Coordinates and manages the daily operation of Campus Reservations & Events (CR&E) venues. Provides support and supervision over all operations students, including hiring, on-boarding and continued training. Serves as lead technical support for all CR&E venues and events. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES: 30% - Essential - Student Supervision: Actively involved in the hiring, training, evaluation and supervision of student staff members. Assists in creating, implementing and managing a training model that ensures that all student staff members are appropriately prepared to be successful in their assigned roles which may include daily operations, changeovers, technical services, and exceptional customer service.
30% - Essential - Technical Support: Coordinates and supervises the daily operation of venues and outdoor spaces managed by CRE. Assists in the management of all CRE facilities, inventory, and equipment to ensure all are well maintained, esthetically pleasing and safe. Constant evaluation and planning to keep all A/V, lighting, and sound are up to date.


15% - Essential - Evening and Weekend Management: Assists in evening and weekends management by ensuring that at all times CRE events and venues are appropriately staffed and that the student workers are adequately trained. Provides additional support when necessary either in person or in an on-call capacity.


15% - Essential - Operations: In coordination with the other areas in the department, serve as a contact for all building tenants in the venues managed by Campus Reservations & Events to ensure consistent communication, as well as ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing and safe.


10% - Essential - Departmental: Serves as a member of Campus Reservations & Events staff by meeting regularly with supervisor, attending staff meetings, retreats and participate in departmental committees. Supports departments reporting and assessment efforts. Actively engages in intentional review and planning that leads to improvement of Campus Reservations & Events staff, services and venues. Actively assists Director and Associate Director in developing strategic short and long-term plans regarding student staffing models, venue maintenance, equipment replacement through priorities and capital projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education - Bachelor's Degree and relevant program experience.
Work Exp 1+ years Practical experience in venue management as well as tech & production services
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Education - Bachelor's Degree - Event Management, Engineering, Communications

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 10% - Exposure to heat or cold

Other - Frequent evening/weekend work due to Campus Life venues building hours
WORK SCHEDULE: Standard Hrs: 37.5
COMPENSATION INFORMATION Expected Salary Range ($ 37,860.00- $ 45,000.00)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.


ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL Normal Operations


Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
