The successful candidate will provide legal support to the Data Analytics, IT, Privacy & Security, and Innovation teams, serving as a subject matter expert on legal and regulatory issues related to privacy, data, and security.
This role involves monitoring industry and regulatory activity, offering legal guidance on data security and privacy regulation, and ensuring that the company operates within the law.
The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge and experience in a SaaS environment, with a focus on data, privacy, and security-related laws and regulations, and will be experienced in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, particularly within the context of a highly regulated industry such as life insurance.
Applicants for this role at the company should have at least twelve years of experience with exceptional academic and law firm credentials, with a preference for at least five years of in-house experience with a life insurance carrier.
The role requires in-depth knowledge of data privacy laws and intellectual property, particularly within the life insurance industry, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong business acumen.
