Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the team at the newly opening Overland Park, Kansas Location.
Position Overview The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the management of all functional areas of the site's business operations including Restaurant and Arcade. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with and report to the unit General Manager. They are responsible to be the leader in the development of Management & Team Members and oversee Repair & Maintenance of the facility. Assistant General Managers must create an environment that develops ownership and accountability.
The Assistant General Manager is expected to maintain the quality and ethical standards set by AIKG while representing the Andretti brand.

Fully accountable for all aspects of P&L, including achieving annual revenue, profit, cost control and inventory controlAccountable to maximize daily sales and effectively manage costs, labor and cash controlWork closely with department Managers to oversee operations and facilityContinuously promote safety and sanitationResponsible to take proactive approach to guest relations, put in time spent on floor interacting with guestsEnsure the highest level of quality and standardsUltimately responsible for all aspects of guest relations and the quality of experience delivered to the guest, i.e. product, timing, service, entertainment, excitement, etc.Empower management and staff to deliver exceptional serviceResponsible for the on-going development of all site managers and for the development of Management-in-TrainingAssure leadership and staff morale is maintained at a high levelResponsible to provide direct and honest feedback to staff regarding individual performanceEstablishes operational guidelines for the recruitment and retention of staffRequired Qualifications Eligible to work in the United StatesAt least 18 years of ageStrong written & verbal communication skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentStrong organizational skillsBasic understanding of Marketing and FinanceThe desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat and sociable throughout the workdayWork varying days, nights, holidays and weekendsPreferred and great to have: Two years of Assistant General Management experience in high volume environmentTwo years of complete P&L experience in a branded food and entertainment businessFinancial analysis and assessment skillsProven leadership and team skills; ability to motivate and manage all levels of staff and management Strong training and development backgroundWorking knowledge of cost controlsStrong training and development backgroundPhysical Requirements The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of their job.
