Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for supporting the RGM to manage day-to-day operations of a Taco Bell restaurant within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure customer satisfaction and profit maximization.
The AGM is expected to enforce and execute all Federal and California Labor Laws within the restaurant.
The AGM will perform hands-on work to train employees, respond to customer service needs, and model appropriate behaviors in the restaurant.
This role provides overall leadership through building a culture of recognition while motivating the team with the goal of operational excellence.
The Day-to-Day: Build People Capability Drives culture, problem solves, resolves conflicts, communicates and motivates to drive results through others Ensures a safe and positive environment for employees Maintains appropriate staffing levels and ensure training/on-boarding of new Team Members Provides leadership and assists with coaching and developing of Team Members and other Managers.
Acts as role model and coaches the fundamentals in order to deliver brand standards without compromise.
Deliver a Consistent Customer Experience Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate & local marketing programs Ensure a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating safe work behaviors of the team Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labor and ordering food and supplies, to successfully fulfil the needs of the restaurant Ensure local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policies are met Drives customer-focused culture by serving as a role model in resolving serious customer issues and training others to meet or exceed customer service standards Builds SMART action plans to resolve issues in their restaurant Monitors restaurant Speed with Service (SWS) performance and provides coaching to unit to meet performance targets Grow the Brand, Sales and Profits Runs great shifts and manages food and labor costs through proper scheduling and ordering.
Helps control Profit & Loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, and taking appropriate actions Assists with maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a Preventative Maintenance Plan based on Company Standards Assists with ensuring that facilities and equipment are maintained to Taco Bell standards Assists with analyzing sales, labor, inventory and controllables on a continual basis and coaches on corrective action to meet or targets and goals Minimum Requirements Is This You?
: At least 18 years of age Valid Drivers License High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must maintain a 10-point Manager Schedule, AGM's should expect to work 9.5 hours per day, 5 days a week including opening or closing shifts and working weekends Good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with exceptional team building capability Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic business math and accounting skills to manage Profit & Loss in their restaurant and strong analytical/decision-making skills Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Strong analytical/decision-making skills Basic personal computer literacy.
